Dells-Delton EMS proudly provides specialized Tactical Emergency Medical Services (TEMS) to support high-risk law enforcement operations across the region. Our TEMS providers deliver advanced prehospital care in dynamic, austere, and high-threat environments, bridging the critical gap between tactical operations and life-saving medical intervention.
Our partnership with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Department dates back to 2015, when Dells-Delton EMS began providing dedicated Tactical EMS medics to support their Emergency Response Team (ERT). Over the years, this collaboration has delivered immediate, high-quality medical care during tactical incidents, training exercises, and critical operations—enhancing officer safety and operational effectiveness while strengthening public safety in Columbia County.
In 2026, Dells-Delton EMS expanded its Tactical EMS program by beginning dedicated service to the Sauk County Sheriff’s Department. This important regional expansion allows us to provide seamless, coordinated tactical medical support to both Sauk and Columbia County law enforcement partners, ensuring consistent, high-level care during ERT operations and mutual-aid responses.
Our TEMS team consists of highly trained, state-certified providers who specialize in tactical casualty care principles, high-threat rescue techniques, and close integration with law enforcement. They operate under advanced protocols that enable rapid assessment and intervention in warm-zone and hot-zone environments while maintaining the safety of all personnel.
By combining specialized medical expertise with tactical awareness, the Dells-Delton EMS Tactical EMS program strengthens the overall public safety infrastructure for our communities. This includes year-round residents as well as the millions of visitors who enjoy the Wisconsin Dells and Lake Delton tourism area each year.
